General practical information about the event, covering logistics, accommodation, schedules, and on-site arrangements.
(current dates are estimates and subject to change; final dates will be confirmed before run selection opens in May 2026).
When the crowdfunding is done, each ticket holder gets to choose which run they want to attend. The sign-up link will be sent out in several waves, based on the order in which backers joined the crowdfunding. The earlier you back the project, the earlier your wave is to secure a spot in your preferred run.
Timetable
First day (Friday) begins with mandatory briefings and workshops, and the game itself will begin on the first evening and run non-stop for the next 48 hours. The two nights in between are fully in-game and accommodation is provided at the venue. The larp will end in the early evening on the third day (Sunday). After the larp there are structured debriefs and an afterparty as well as the possibility to stay for one additional night. The event will end on the morning of the fourth day (Monday).
Location
Greater Helsinki area, Finland. We have several suitable options scouted and the location will be confirmed once the crowdfunding is successful. The location will be easily accessible through public transport and all main areas will be wheelchair accessible.
Travel
Travel costs are not included in the ticket price. The nearest airport is Helsinki-Vantaa, with easy access to the venue via public transportation.
Languages
The games are run in English and all information will be provided in English. If there is demand, there will also be a Swedish run and a Finnish run, where the information is provided in English, but the larp is run in either Finnish or Swedish and also player coordination and support will be provided in these languages.
Age limit
Participants must be 18+ years old for safety, responsibility, and content reasons.
Accessibility
The experience includes light physical activity typical of immersive roleplay. While we aim to ensure accessibility wherever possible, certain roles and gameplay elements may involve limitations. Full accessibility information will be provided in advance of the event.
Ticket Policy
Each ticket is personal to the participant and cannot be transferred or resold. The person purchasing the ticket is the one attending the event. Refunds are not available unless otherwise stated, and any changes must be arranged through the organizing team.
Meals
All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the ticket, as well as smaller snacks in between. Tea, coffee and basic drinks are also included. Most of the food will be vegetarian/vegan and lactose free. We will do our best to accommodate allergies and special diets. The ship will have a bar with more drink options at an additional cost.
Accommodation
Sleeping will take place either in in-game or off-game areas. Rooms will be large, mixed-gender sleeping spaces divided into smaller sections for additional privacy. On-site sanitary facilities will be available, including washing facilities and individual toilet stalls. A soundscape will be present throughout the larp, and some events may cause a significant increase in volume.
Costumes
The ticket will include a uniform piece (jacket or an overall) with the emblem of the ship where the character is stationed. A style guide will be provided for pants and shoes, as well as for certain character groups that will not be wearing uniforms (mainly civilian and Velian characters).
Character Allocation
Characters are assigned to players by organizers based on player preferences and overall game balance to ensure the best possible experience for everyone.
Player safety
Unlike interactive theatre and other immersive experiences, where contact with performers is often restricted or forbidden, larp is a participatory form in which interaction and physical proximity with other players is expected and encouraged. To ensure a safe experience for everyone, the game uses clear safety guidelines and mechanics, for example for modelling violent situations, which all players are required to follow. A full-time safety team will be available on site throughout the event. There will also be an off-game room where players can always step out of the game to take a breather if needed.
Greetings from our Civilian archetype Cassian Valdoran: "Today, I’d like to talk about player safety. In the Finnish larp scene, it’s common to have emotional support staff behind the scenes. They’ll be there for you if you get overwhelmed or tired and need to take a break from the fiction for whatever reason. Or, if you just want to sit down and have some water and a hug. They can also help you out if there’s anything bothering you, like an out-of-game conflict or some kind of lighter medical issue. The crew will have first aid training, and you’ll be able to reach us throughout the game. Making sure the ship and the game is as accessible as possible, both physically and emotionally, is a priority to me. I don’t want anyone tripping on chords or being hangry when there’s action going on."
